The Bourne Legacy Movie Review

The Bourne series continues, this time with a new guy Aaron Cross played by Jeremy Renner.

Normally, I don't like it when they change the actor of the main star in movies and basically avoid watching it. But with this movie, since I am a fan of Jeremy Renner's and the movies are just awesome anyways, that I decided to give it a try and let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed at all! The story is brand new, however they do refer to Tredstone and Jason Bourne an awful lot in the movie, so I would suggest watching the first three to understand fully what was going on. I would say that if I hadn't watched the first three before hand, I probably would have been completely lost.

I was totally in the mood for a very action packed movie and this movie really has it! It also has some of it's funny moments, too. So, that helped. The action was amazing, though. I read in my Entertainment Weekly that Jeremy Renner did a lot of his own stunts, which makes it 10 times better.

Very little romance in the movie, but I thought that Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz (Marta) had great chemistry. Even though there's very little romance, there are some parts where you can tell they like each other. I thought they both were great at their parts.

I'm not sure if I could ever pick a favorite. Like if I like Matt Damon or Jeremy Renner. Both different characters and different stories and they were both amazing and each different actors, too. I think they both have done great and not sure if I could ever pick between the two.

I was a bit confused during the beginning of the movie and I thought it was a little slow going in the beginning, but once the action started, it was basically none stop till the very end! And let me just say, that I think there is a chance they will make a 5th one.

This was definitely worth a watch. Especially if you have enjoyed the Bourne series thus far. And like I said, at first, I was a little disappointed that they changed the actor, but after seeing Jeremy Renner in Mission Impossible 4 and the Avengers, he's becoming one of my favorites, so that's mainly why I didn't have a problem with seeing this newest Bourne movie. Even though it's basically like a new series starting. But I was very impressed with how they tighted everything together from all the movies.

Have you seen this movie? If so, what did you think about it?

Here's the trailer for the movie (which is in theaters now):
