I couldn't agree more with other reviews when they say that this is the best James Bond ever because it so is! I was so excited to see this movie and I was not disappointed. If you are seeing it this weekend, I recommend going at least a half hour early. I live in a small town and we have sold out almost all weekend.
I feel like they went back to how the old James Bond was in a way. Action, going after the bad guy and more action. Now I do gotta warn you, that it is a little bit sad. But I won't say why because it's a major giveaway. Just prepare yourself.
Daniel Craig is at his best, I think in the movie. I really enjoyed Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace but I think he was even better in this movie.
A couple new comers to the cast that were added and I love the additions! Agent Q and Moneypenny. Also, did Gareth look familiar to any of the ones who have seen it? I recognized his voice right away. He played Voldemort from the Harry Potter series! He was also a new comer. It was just odd seeing him look normal. :) If you guys have seen Harry Potter, you know what I'm talking about.
The movie is about when M's past comes to haunt her and Bond is tested about how loyal he has been to her. To make matters worse, MI6 is under attack. :(
With how busy it has been, I will not be surprised if it's not the #1 movie come this weekend at the box office.
Also, we learn a little bit about Bond's past, which I found very interesting. Because we never have before. Not that I remember. But then again, I haven't watched all of the James Bond movies. I started watching when Pierce Brosnan came into the part.
Now don't quote me on this, but I don't remember him saying "Bond, James Bond" in the first two movies Daniel was in? He could have and I just don't remember because that's the characters signature with his name, but I still love it, none-the-less! :)
Be prepared, it's a 2 and half hour movie. I, for one, didn't feel like it was one bit. It's not action all the time, but I didn't feel like there were dead parts, either.
They also added a little bit of comedy into the script. Which, I thought, was a nice touch. It wasn't funny all the time, just a few one liners here and there to ease up the tension.
I still love the score for the movie. I am seriously thinking about buying the movie soundtrack. I don't buy a lot of score soundtracks, but I just loved the music. Adele did amazing with the main theme song, "Skyfall". She even wrote it herself! Did not know that! It was my first time hearing the song during the movie tonight and I think I'm gonna have to buy that song as well.
If you are a huge James Bond fan, you'll love this newest addition to the movie franchise.
Here's the trailer for it:
