The Mentalist "Black-winged Redbird" Episode Review

*Review contains spoilers, so read at your own risk!*

Let me just say that I am so happy that Theresa is ok! I know Patrick would have had a cow if something had happened to her. But he was kind of when he saw what was drawn on her face. First, I thought he wasn't gonna tell her about the mark, but he decided to. It is weird, though, that Red John didn't hurt her much. Aside from knocking her out. What was that about? Oh, and we don't know what Tiger, Tiger is supposed to mean.

Poor Theresa, she's having a hard time with all this Red John stuff. What a horrible dream she had. I knew she was dreaming. I mean, why would she be back to work that fast? But still, it was pretty horrible. And to make matters worse, one of the guys that was in her dream came to see her! Ray and how creepy was he acting?! He caught on that she was nervous, but that didn't help the situation out at all.

How awkward was that meeting that Patrick stepped into? All three Red John suspects in the same meeting talking about something very mysterious. Sure they said it was above Patrick's pay grade, but once he mentioned Red John, they all got tense. Then, what did the one mean after Patrick left "How much does he know?". Makes me wonder if more then one person is Red John? Let me just say, that was just a creepy conversation all around.

Red John is still after Patrick, though. Not that he never stopped, but this time he goes after someone Patrick knew. His old therapist. Patrick was really worried about her, so he decided to break into her house and figure out what's going on. But what we found was different for Red John. Part of the poor lady was in the oven! How disgusting!

The case they were working on as pretty interesting. A guy ended up killing himself because a drone they sent to military killed innocent people and the place he worked at covered it up and he couldn't live with himself so he killed himself! But no one decided to help him out of it. Yeah, I said it was interesting.

But now they might have a description of who Red John is because he didn't know that Sophie taped all her sessions and Patrick found the tape. But how she describes her patient could explain all of the suspects. So, that doesn't help too much.

The past few seasons haven't been too interesting, but I've never stopped watching the show. It seems like they got back to their roots with the Red John story getting more and more intense and us knowing that we will know who it is by the end of the season. This season seems to be looking up and seems to be one of the best so far. I'm excited to watch each episode and that hasn't happened in a while for this show. I'm glad that feeling is back.

  1. I think Red John attacked Lisbon to get them to remove the gps bugs.

    1. Um...that could be, didn't think about that. Maybe just to scare her enough to let them take down the bugs. Makes sense.
