NCIS: LA "Merry Evasion" Episode Review

*Review contains spoilers, so read at your own risk!*

Sam and Callen have to protect a girl after a home invasion, but it's because she's the Senator's daughter! Here's the kicker, though, she doesn't know why she's being attacked because she does not get along with her father and hasn't spoken to him in years.

Lily is her name and she lived the attack all because her awesome dog was able to get back into the house and save her! But the guy ended up shooting the dog. I thought for sure that he was dead, but he made it! Brave little guy. One of the reasons why I love dogs!

Once Sam and Callen get to Lily, you think everything is going smooth, but it goes bad fast. The bad guys ended up somehow tailing them and boxed them in and Sam and Callen had to blow up the car and get rid of their phones to stop the tracking, which means they have to go dark and can't get any contact.

Which makes it really bad because two of the guys got out and there could be more coming. Callen knew of a stash place for spies and it had a little bit of everything in it! They were finally able to call back to base to let them know what's going on and stuff and get back up.

At first, I didn't like Lily. I thought she was kind of hot headed, but once we get past that and get to know her a little better, I started to really like her character. She actually turned out be quite fun to watch. I felt like she seemed normal. I don't know how else to put it, but she always kept wanting to know what the plan was and what to look out for and those are the type of questions I think I would find myself asking. So, it was refreshing to have that.

In the end, it did involve her dad, but not like what we thought. I think he was being blackmailed and to do that, the group that was threatening him, was going after his daughter. Don't worry, the team get all the bad guys that were involved, so now Lily doesn't have to worry about it anymore.

Now comes the awesome reunion. Lily finally gets to see her dog (who is doing well at this point) and her and her dad meet up!

I really do miss Kensi, but it is nice to have some more in field Nell. Which Callen is a little suspicious about and I didn't think we needed to be because I just thought that Nell was replacing Kensi while she was gone. But could there be more to it like Callen suggested? We find out one of the main reasons why Kensi is where she is. Because the guy before her, ended up getting caught by the bad guys and killed! This scared her and I don't blame her one bit. Granger didn't think he needed to tell her that. Oh and according to Hetty, there could be a mole where Kensi is stationed! Maybe that's one of the reasons why she's where she is? That was new info. But the best part of all was when Hetty gave Kensi a secure line to talk and Hetty also gave one to Deeks! That was the best when he had no clue who was calling on the other end and they were both taken off guard. Good, now they can have some contact again. :)
