Person Of Interest "The Crossing" Episode Review

*Review contains spoilers, so read at your own risk!*

Man, this episode was so intense to the point of I'm glad I knew what happened at the end! Even though I knew, it was still hard to watch and a lot of other stuff happened that I didn't know was going to happen.

Good news, though. Carter finally brings Quinn down, but it takes a hard effort from everybody once John's number comes up on the Machine. Harold was very upset and worried for his friend throughout the whole episode while he was trying to get his friend and Carter to the FBI safely. It was not an easy task.

What makes it worse, is that they get down one man. Fusco is kidnapped by Simmons and is tortured for info. I felt so bad for Fusco. Especially when his boy is threatened as well. Not that I don't already like Shaw, but this made me really like her. If that's at all possible. Because she was searching for Fusco, but thought to go to his house (I'm not exactly sure why). It was a good thing, too, though because she was able to save his son. We had no clue this was happening until her voice came on the other end. I was so relieved! I'm thinking, Fusco can't lose his son in all of this, that would be horrible!

One of the things that I still wonder about (of course it could be answered by now, I'm still behind) is why did Root know that this was going to happen? She knew immediately that John's number had come up and that he would die and Harold would be alone. Of course, it doesn't happen that way, but still. How did she know that? Does the Machine tell the future now or something? Harold is still trying to figure out how Root can talk to the Machine differently. Root said that the Machine talks to Harold with how he programmed her. But how is it that Root can communicate with her now? It's all very weird. Shaw wants Harold to enlist Root's help so that they can have more man power. I'm with Harold, though. I don't trust Root at all. Especially if she is free and can get to phones, etc. However, it was too funny when Bear ran away from Root!

So, everything is wrapping up and you think that everything is fine. But, the only person that hasn't been caught is Simmons. Where is he and what is he planning? Well, for John to get away, Harold worked it out with one of the police guys to "arrest" him and Carter is picking him up from the police station. He doesn't have a gun and I feel like if John did have a gun, none of this would have happened. Simmons comes out of no where and shots John (I don't think it was too bad, though) and Carter pulls her weapon and shoots Simmons and Simmons shoots and kills Carter! This is the part that I knew was coming, but they really made you think that everything was fine. John was so upset. Harold witnessed the whole thing from afar off while the phone started ringing with a new number. But Harold was in shock and didn't move at all. I don't think he knew what to do. Oh, before Carter died, she was promoted back to detective and met up with Fusco and all that. Fusco is still worried about his son being alone without him. I don't blame him, though.

Do you guys think that John liked Carter as more then a friend and that's why he kissed her (did not see that coming!) or do you think he was just swept up by the moment of thinking back when Carter saved him from that moment they were talking about and that was more of like a thank-you kiss? I'm not really sure what to think. I never got the feeling between the two that they liked each other as more then friends. I have gotten that feeling with Shaw and John, though.

  1. I think John liked Carter, that's why he took her death so hard.
This episode was bitter sweet to me because Carter died.
I did not see that kiss coming and so glad JC decided to do it.
    The kiss was unscripted.
