Once Upon A Time "It's Not Easy Being Green" Episode Review

*Review contains spoilers, so read at your own risk!*

The big showdown between Regina and Zelena happens and it was just as lame as it looked in the commercial. I am glad to know that it wasn't the main focus of the episode at all. Other then the showdown being lame, I really loved the episode. Very informative, especially at the end.

I know I keep saying this, but I really do like it when both the fairy tale world and the present time are combined. Not that I didn't mind learning about characters before, but I like the fact that both stories are connected and this one is even more connected this time. We learn the background of Zelena! Cora sent one daughter away in a tornado and a family found her and raised her. Looks like the mom was more open to her having powers then her dad was. Her dad was down right scared of Zelena to the point of being mean to her. I'm guessing she was supposed to be kind of like Dorothy? Didn't care too much for that little twist in there. The only reason why I think that is because of the magical shoes she was given. Click her heels three times and it'll take her wherever she goes. She wishes to meet her real family and learn why they gave her away.

While all of that is going on, Zelena has threatened to kill Regina in a showdown that night. Why? That's what Regina tries to figure out. Regina does some digging and found a letter that she always thought was addressed to her, but in reality, it was addressed to Zelena and that proved that they were related. I do feel bad for Regina. Here this whole time she thought she was the most powerful witch and it turns out that she wasn't the one.

My question I've been wondering all season long (I'm sure other fans have, too), is why cast the curse again? Well, that part hasn't really been answered, but we do know finally what Zelena wants to do! She took David's courage and now she wants Regina's heart? Why? Because Zelena wants to make sure her sister was never born! Regina knows it's a spell, but she can't remember what it is, and hopefully she does in time before that happens.

Good thing Hook decided to keep Henry out of their way the whole day. Thought that was kind of funny that they were gone the whole day, but it was a good thing because poor Henry might have been in trouble. Anyways, it was nice to see some bonding with him and Hook, even though Hook kind of slipped up and almost said something he shouldn't have. Henry is getting a bit suspicious, though. He is a smart kid. He knows something is up. Also, there's a little more romance happening between Regina and Robin Hood! She told Tinkerbell about it and Tinkerbell is all thrilled when she learns the news that they have met. But Regina isn't so sure. However, Robin Hood is the only one she has entrusted to keep her heart safe from the Wicked Witch, which I think is a good sign in their relationship (Robin and Regina). I hope they get together. She deserves some happiness.
