One of the most action packed/intense episodes I've seen of this show to the point of it possibly being my favorite! That's one of the big reasons why I love this show. There's always very intense action in it and not knowing if a character will get out without getting seriously hurt.
But at first, you thought it wasn't going to be like that. Their new number, Sandra, works at a 911 operation call center. Why did the Machine give them her number? We find out very quickly why. Even though we don't get to know her much right away, I felt very attached to her and was wondering how she (with Harold's help of course) was gonna get out of this very sticky situation.
Why would a Mexican cartel (if that's who really did the kidnapping) kidnap a little boy and make sure the call went directly to Sandra? Is it because she's super good at her job and will do anything to save someone? Nope. Well, sort of. Whoever was calling Sandra, had something on Sandra and we finally learn what that is. While she was just 14 years old, she was babysitting and the kid she was babysitting accidentally died and she's regretted what happened ever since then. I'm totally thinking that's why she became a 911 operator. To try to save as many lives as she can. Since this also involves a kid, they threaten her that they are gonna kill him if she doesn't do exactly what she says. Boy does that tactic work!
Well, it ended up being that the two cases (the one Fusco was working on and this one) were connected. The case was one where a lady got murdered because of an affair she was having and she was gonna tell someone and the guy hired (well, the wife, I think) hired the hit team. I didn't think of anything at first, but towards the end, I (well, my Mom) was wondering if they could possibly be connected and they were. All of this hassle just to delete one single 911 number? Seems a bit much, but made for a very exciting episode. Yes, they do end up catching the real bad guy (or did they) and saving the kid and Sandra got off without anything and got closure (that was awesome when Harold showed her the kid at the end). But here's the kicker and could possibly be a story line for a couple of episodes. They don't end up catching the real guy. Who is it? Whoever it is, is now after Harold and Harold doesn't want to worry his friends, so John and Shaw have no clue what he said to Harold. Though, I have a feeling they won't be in the dark for long.
