So, since I've been sick this week, I figured it was about time that I watch Thor and I am glad I did! More stuff in Avengers is making sense and also in Agents Of Shield, since one episode took place after the second Thor movie.
Most people tell me that the second one was way better and I totally have to agree with them. The first one is nice for a background story on how Loki became bad, the first meeting between Thor and Coulson, etc., but in my opinion, there was too much background and not enough action.
The second one however, I really enjoyed it. I felt that the script was better, the story line and action was better and they even threw funny parts in there, which was awesome. I loved seeing a different side of Loki and wondering throughout the movie he really can be trusted.
Maybe I enjoyed the second one more because I knew the characters already and stuff made more sense since I had seen Avengers and all that (also, important to watch that before the second one since some of the funny humor in it you won't understand).
Thor isn't my favorite action hero in the Marvel realm, but he is a fun character. My all time favorite would have to be Hawkeye and to see him for a short 5 minutes in the first film totally made it for me! It's just awesome how they are connecting these movies with the TV show and everything.
How you should watch this series? Thor, Avengers and Thor 2 is the series order it goes in. Make sure to watch scenes in the credits. There were two in Thor and Thor 2, that were pretty important.
So, that's pretty much it on what I thought of the two movies. They are fun, but Marvel is not my favorite comic book series. That would be DC. But if they decide to film a Hawkeye movie (better have Jeremy Renner in it!), then that could change my mind. :) Anyways, I would love to know what you guys thought of these movies as well, but please no spoilers for Captain America. That's the last one on my list to watch.
My Movie Rating: Thor 1: 3 out of 5 stars
Thor 2: 4 out of 5 stars
