NCIS: New Orleans "Musician Heal Thyself" (Series Premiere) Episode Review

*Review contains spoilers, so read at your own risk!*

After 5 minutes into it, I'm already loving the new cast. They play off of each other well and could there be a possible romance between Brody and Chris? That's what I thought in the crossover episode when they first met. If there is, all I'm saying is I hope we get something between them more then we did with Tony and Ziva. Maybe go along the lines of Deeks and Kensi, that would be fine with me.

Ok, back to the show. It was a pretty sad subject to start with. Pride realizing that their new victim is someone he knew from along time ago and has to break the news to the victims father that this could possibly be his son. To make matters worse, it looks like the kid got back into a gang.

I was so hoping that wouldn't be the case since the victims dad was already beating himself up over the fact that if he had just spent a little more time with his son, that maybe, just maybe he wouldn't have gone back to a gang.

So, you could imagine my delight when they found out that the tattoo was a fake and applied after the kid had died to make it look like a gang shooting! All along, the kid was actually investigating something where he worked at and it turned out that his job was smuggling in drugs! His boss caught him snooping and yeah, you can figure out what happened then.

The team. I don't quite have a favorite yet. Though Brody is jumping out at me a bit. She reminds me of Ellie and Ziva all wrapped up in one, but with her own little touch. Pride totally reminds me of Gibbs and Chris reminds me of Tony. Sebastian could be a McGee/Abby mix and Loretta reminds me of Ducky. But of course, they all have their own unique ways that set them apart from the original characters. There are just certain things in them, that remind me of each of the original cast. I think it's cute when they do that, but not so much to the point of them being a duplicate and I don't think that will happen in this case.

All in all, it was a promising start to a show that I'm already sensing will be a hit. I hope so, because like I said, I just love the cast.
