Ok, let's be honest. I'm not totally enjoying the new season. What happened to those fun action packed episodes I fell in love with? Sure you can't have those all the time, but we at least had them more then this. It was a sweet episode, though. One where Steve was able to help out his dad in a weird way and met someone that I'm sure this won't be the last we see of her.
Called it! I knew something terrible would happen to Jerry with this whole book store thing he was working on and I was right! Hopefully this is the kind of thing the show needed to get back on it's feet again. At least for a few episodes or however long they want it to last. Poor Jerry had no clue what kind of case he was looking into and why it took the bookstore owner this long to do something about it is beyond me, but it made for a nice cliffhanger and makes me actually excited for the next episode, even if it is a Halloween episode, which are ones I don't normally tend to look forward to.
Oh where is Danny? Not one mention of him at all during the case until the end when Steve calls to see how he's doing. With how things ended last time, I'm surprised that not one thing was brought up on it or that we didn't even see Danny for that matter. Makes me wonder if Scott is filming something else. Normally what happens when a big star of a show isn't in or hardly in any episodes and I actually miss Danny. We don't get the banter that I love that often. Though when we do, they do make up for it. But I miss it being in every episode. Sort of the comedy relief of the show. Without Danny, the show just lacks a little bit. Not much, just a little.
The new lady, Ellie, could be a new love interest for Steve. I mean, she knows about cars, knew his dad pretty well and they both have something in common. Lost their dads over something that shouldn't have happened. I'm not sure if I like her or not. Too soon too tell. After going through several twists and turns, Steve finally finds the real killer and one that I kind of thought it was him the minute they mentioned his name with all the info they had gotten. But still, it was nice that Steve was able to help her out and put that mystery to an end for both of them.
