If you watched the preview for this episode, you already knew that the little girl got kidnapped. Sometimes I don't want to watch previews because I feel like they give away the most important part of the story and then watching the episode isn't too thrilling. But it was a lot different then what I expected.
The main story was at least. The whole thing with Danny and his brother, I wish was a little different. I thought that the episode was gonna be more centered around that, but you hardly ever saw any of that until the very end when Danny learned this jerk has his brother held captive somewhere and has to find the money if Danny wants to see his brother alive.
I thought it was pretty stupid that the kidnapper ended up taking the wrong girl. Sophie wasn't the real target, the parents they were talking to with the girl, Maggie were. At first, I was thinking that one of the parents was in on it, but I'm glad it turned out to be completely different then that. It was really sad, though, so I kind of wish it was the other way around. The guy that kidnapped the girl, was getting back at the family who makes baby stuff and one of the car seats they made was defected and they didn't do anything about it. So, this was all revenge because this guys daughter died because of their car seat not working right. Those flashbacks were horrible and almost a bit disturbing. I think Hawaii Five-0 sometimes pushes the envelope on what they can and can't show on TV. Not enough to make me stop watching, though.
I didn't realize that Jerry had also been made a main star in this new season and I think that's an awesome casting choice. Jerry is hilarious and adds something different and fun to the team. Not that he's really working for them, but in a way he is. However, I'm surprised with someone so paranoid that he doesn't realize someone has been following him. That part of the story was also in the episode. Not much, but I have a feeling that they are going to have all this blow up at once or they could do it gradually as well, but shows don't tend to work that way.
Nothing was talked about Chin and who he visited in jail or if Kono has made her decision about marrying Adam. Which I still hope is a yes from her and I think it will be. Unless there's a tragic end to that that I don't know about yet and even if there is, I don't want to know about it. Kono deserves some happiness and I don't want a repeated story line, either. Even though I still wish the whole Kono and Charlie thing was looked into more before shoving that aside. Anyways, it was a fun episode and even though they might be slowly getting to a climax with the story lines, I'm still a bit intrigued, I just hope they don't take too long or else it might become a little boring.
