The honeymoon. The most romantic place ever...is a western town? Not exactly where Kate imagined her honeymoon to be, but she didn't totally have a choice. She was out of vacation hours (having used them up for when Castle had gone missing) and their new case took them there. Castle was like a little kid seeing his idea take form and be like "We can go undercover!". Kate denied the whole time this was their actual honeymoon. Though, the town and theme kind of oddly fit them.
Whitney, their new victim, was murdered, but they don't know why. It all leads back to a western town and thus why Kate and Castle decide to go there. But not all before telling their friends what they did in the mean time, without them.
Boy were they mad! Well, Lanie took it pretty well, but Espo and Ryan were angry. More then angry if that's possible. They would not let them off the hook for a minute, until the Captain made them realize what horrible friends they were being and that's when they came up with the perfect gift, but I'll save that for later.
Castle, trying to be a smooth, cool cowboy, doesn't pull it off one bit. Though, I sure enjoyed watching him every minute trying to. The part with him entering the saloon and the swinging doors had to be the best!
Now let's get to that interesting case that actually supposedly leads them to buried treasure. Well, not totally. It was found a while ago. But Whitney went looking because she was actually looking for her real father, who was killed by the guy who runs the place, which put Castle in an actual bar fight/shoot out. Again, that didn't go as well as he'd hoped, but Kate saves the day instead.
Kate finally agrees to letting this be their honeymoon, but only after Ryan and Espo decided to give her some of their vacation days for making up being total jerks about not being invited to the wedding. Though, I am a little glad that they were upset about it. I mean, how hard would it have been for them to have called their friends? I'm sure they would have dropped everything to have been there. Though I am hoping that Kate and Castle do actually get to go somewhere other then a western town for their honeymoon, but if they don't, at least they got a little bit of one.
