NCIS: New Orleans "Chasing Ghosts" Episode Review

*Review contains spoilers, so read at your own risk!*

The group gets ready for Thanksgiving and Loretta gets to close a 40 year old case that has haunted her since the day it happened.

It was nice that they were able to close such an important case before the wife of the murder victim died. They reopened the case because the gun was found that went missing that was a very important clue to the solving of the crime.

Now the question is, who sold the gun and how did he get it to begin with? They eventually get that figured out and we all thought it lead to the corrupt Councilman that Pride has been trying to pin something on from the beginning of the series. In a way, I'm glad it didn't turn out to be Douglas' dad after all. Though I do suspect him not being good, Douglas that is, but I'm just glad it didn't turn out that way.

It was sad when they realized it was the guys' best friend who ended up killing him (Jacob was the murder victim 40 years ago) 40 years ago and all over jealously. The friend was in love with the wife and told her to choose who she wanted to marry. But that ended up deadly and she lost the person she choose to be with.

Laurel has come back for Thanksgiving and is bringing a surprise, a boyfriend! Pride isn't too thrilled with meeting a possible someone for Laurel and Laurel is afraid of them both meeting because each boy she's had has bonded with Pride and she has been left to wonder if they really like her or if they just like hanging out with her dad. She tried to avoid that big time with her new boyfriend, but it didn't work and she ended up sending the guy home. But Pride gently pointed out at the end that sometimes it helps that they bond because he realized how much Laurel liked this boy and was able to bring him back home just in time for Thanksgiving.
