Hawaii Five-0 "Ke Koho Mamao Aku (Longshot)" Episode Review

*Review contains spoilers, so read at your own risk!*

Come on Hawaii Five-0, you can do better then that and you have, I've seen it. But it feels like this season has been off and I really hope that because if it, this won't be the next show to be axed. They can fix it, if they get a second chance.

Usually, I enjoy Christmas episodes, but not this one. It was, how can I put this nicely? Not good is all I'll say about it.

Their new case all revolved around a horse being stolen a long time ago and they have to save it before it was too late. The guy didn't even seem to have a good reason to have stolen the horse. Of course, it was important that the animal did live and it was cute that the animal still remembered his right owner after having been taken all this time, but still, that whole thing just seemed a little lame to me.

I thought there was going to be some good in the episode at first, when Max and the other Doctor he had to work with had a feud over a girl, which I kind of was thinking was going to happen. But it all turned out to be over an action figure! I'm just thinking really? It was sweet that they were able to make up after all this time, but still.

Not to mention the main star being gone for half the episode with really no explanation. All we knew is that Steve had a government meeting and when he came back, no one asked about how it went and we didn't find out what it was about. Of course, that could be saved for later on, but it was just weird. I'm sorry but when my favorite character of the show is gone for half the episode, I didn't totally enjoy it. Not that I don't mind when the rest of the cast has to step up and fill in, but I feel like Steve has been absent a lot lately and so I was hoping that wouldn't be the case, again.

Oh and to top it all off, Steve and Danny got in trouble for stealing a Christmas tree! Of course, they knew it was a big deal to steal, but did it anyways. It was sweet of the cop to let them keep the tree until after Christmas. But now instead of paying what Danny would have paid for a legal tree, he now has to pay a whole lot more. Still, I really hope for the shows sake, that the new year is way better. Even if it the show doesn't last much longer (though I am hoping it will), I'll still be with it until the end.
