Thapa is back! And plays a very important character in the new story line of NCIS: LA. Not only was he the reason why 6 Ghurkas came to LA in the first place, he also gave some important insight on Deeks with his relationship with Kensi.
Deeks and Kensi had their first ever fight. Which is what led to Deeks asking Thapa what he should do. Of course, that made Deeks realize that perhaps they really are moving too fast in their relationship and it's ok to not spend every waking moment together. Then Kensi tries to get her own relationship advice and all Thapa has to say is basically nothing. Compared to what he just said to Deeks, you know Deeks wasn't too thrilled with that response.
Thapa was having to protect this lady, Ella, who now has the interest of CIA. Callen thinks Ella is a double agent or someone else wanted to make Ella seem more important then she actually was and take their attention off the real target, Thapa.
Sam gets shot in all of this, which leaves Callen pretty shaken up. It almost looked like he either wanted to burst into tears (which he doesn't really seem like the type of guy to do that) or wanna punch out someone. Which he almost did when he couldn't get anything out of Ella. Sam gets through it fine, but there's another member that's not so lucky.
It was hard for me to see Deeks having to see his friend, Thapa die. But he died because he saved Sam from the same fate. So, Deeks going home by himself probably wasn't the best solution, but he knows it's probably best for Deeks and Kensi in itself. I think he just loves her so much, he doesn't want the relationship to end and so he'll try to do whatever he can to keep it going as long as he can.
