Daddy Dinozzo is back! But not as his usual chipper self. His down in the dumps since the love of his life left him for another man. So everybody tells Tony Jr. to give his daddy a hobby to get his mind off of things. But little did he know that hobby was going to be their next case.
At first, I didn't like the fact that Tony Jr. had found someone, but maybe it was because I was trying to still get over the whole Ziva not being there kind of thing and that relationship never happening like I was hoping to for so long. But now that we are hearing about his new relationship a little more and how happy he is, I actually think it's cute. He is growing up a little more and it's nice to see that. Hopefully Zoe will be good for him and it will become more of a thing. The one thing I'd like to see more of is Abby and her boyfriend. After the one episode of her almost dumping him because of her list, I felt like we never see him or hardly even hear about it.
Jimmy is back! It was so cute when he came on in the middle of the case and him being completely lost in what was going on. Poor guy. But his daughter went through her first cold and then it was just cute having him go through the list of worries he'll have through her stages of life. And the best part of all is when he said that he wants his daughter to call Ducky Granducky! Sweetest thing ever!
So, their new case is a strange one. A painting took the main focus of the case, since they learned the real painting was stolen after a guy was murdered. See, they stole it because the painting also led to another murder and it also had a bug planted in it that the bad guys wanted back or else it would be really bad for them if the news got out that was on it.
Daddy Sr ended up helping with the case because of his many "connections" in the black market world. Claiming that he's not a con artist because he believes in what he's selling and he thinks that makes a big difference. The case though, turns bad when Sr. is kind of kidnapped, but doesn't even know it. Everybody gets out fine, gets the painting and the bug and in the end everything is good.
Will Tony ever get the night with Zoe? Well, as it turns out, it looked like it was finally going to happen, but then Sr. decided to have a talk with his son about the difference between a con artist and what he actually does. It was a touching father/son moment. Not a bad episode, but not one of the best either. However, I do feel like they are getting a little bit better, but I don't think they are quite there yet.
