NCIS: LA "Fighting Shadows" Episode Review

*Review contains spoilers, so read at your own risk!*

An FBI van after a sting operation, gets blown up and the NCIS team, team up with the FBI to figure out why someone would do this. Especially when they leave pretty obvious clues for them to find at the scene. Plus, there was that whole very easy confession they got. But all of it turned out to be revenge and the guy blaming the FBI for something that turned out to be in fact, his fault.

Mr. Shaw, the bad guy, blames the FBI for turning his nephew into a terrorist. But with a little research, they learned that it was Mr. Shaw's fault in the long run. It's always easier to blame someone else for your mistake. Especially a big mistake like turning your nephew bad. Which he tried to do to some innocent kids. All to keep his hands clean, but to still get his revenge. Nice uncle, huh?

While all of that is going on, a mysterious lady is following Kensi and Deeks. At first, I was thinking that she was spying on their relationship and was going to blackmail them somehow. But then we learned that she was with LAPD and that internal affairs is launching an investigation on Deeks! Is Deeks possibly hiding something? That's what I was wondering when he did say he wasn't. Though, I'm just not sure. I hope not and I hope that the LAPD got wrong info, but I'm not sure how this will pan out.

It did mean for Kensi and Deeks to be split up and have to work with Sam and Callen. That was interesting. At least they work pretty well with the rest of the team. It was a bit awkward at first for Callen and Deeks. Since Deeks learned that practically everybody knows about him and Kensi being together. After they got over that bump, they actually worked well together. I just hope this doesn't last too long, because I still love it when Callen and Sam work together, well and when Deeks and Kensi work together, too.

Nell thinks Hetty revealing just enough info to certain people is what she does. I'm not sure what Hetty's angle at that was. Letting Deeks see the lady up there. Maybe to see his reaction and to see if he knew the lady? Or maybe there's more to this then they are even telling us. Either way, it seems like an intriguing mystery and one I can't wait to see unravel.
