To me, this felt more like a series finale, then a season finale. Everything wrapped up in a nice little bow. Not that that's a bad thing, but with everything that worked up to it, I was expecting a major cliffhanger and we got nothing. Of course, it was nice if they didn't know yet that the show was renewed, but since it was, I don't know, I'm just surprised we didn't get more to it then we did.
Don't get me wrong, the whole Baitfish thing was exciting and had a twist, but I'm just surprised it wrapped up so quickly and with less of a storm then what I was expecting to see. I guess it's a good thing that they didn't drag this story on forever, but sometimes it's nice to have certain stories last a little longer.
The mole ended up being the cop that was helping Pride do his case. I was shocked at that, but still, I feel like we missed something in the season finale that I can't quite put my finger on what it was. Am I the only one who feels like that?
Sonja has joined the team! I was hoping for so long that it would be Borin that would join the team and who knows, she might later on, but with Sonja joining in, I'm not sure if they will add Borin now. I was surprised at that and I guess she can be trusted now or maybe she can't. I really like Sonja, but I don't know why, I just don't totally trust her or maybe I'm just hoping there's more to her character to spice things back up again. Who knows, but it is nice to have another girl to the team and someone so different from Brodie.
Other then that, the season finale, like I said, just wrapped up with a nice little bow with nothing to led us into the new season. Maybe that's why I didn't totally enjoy it. No story line to start off season 2 like most shows do. Maybe they didn't want to do that, just in case they weren't picked up. But hey, this is NCIS. One of the most popular shows on TV and it's spinoffs have done amazing. Ok, it's one spinoff has done amazing. I will watch season 2, but I hope they give us a new story line and soon when it premieres.
