Castle "Hollander's Woods" (Season Finale) Episode Review

*Review contains spoilers, so read at your own risk!*

Thank goodness I knew that this show is coming back already and that the whole cast is, too. Because if I had watched this without knowing that, I would have assumed that this was the series finale. It felt like more things were ending then beginning like they normally do in season finales. But maybe since last years season finale and everybody being upset over it, they felt the need to take it easy this year. Or maybe they didn't even know if they were coming back yet and wanted to be safe.

It was amazing, even if they didn't have a gut-wreching cliffhanger like they've done in the past. Why does Castle write books like he does? That mystery is finally solved. But now that it is, I hope he continues to write books. Writing books was his way of finishing a story he never could, until now.

With Kate and the rest of the teams' help, he was able to solve something he had thought was just his imagination this whole time. When he was 11, he saw this really scary masked dude finishing up killing someone in the woods. Because of that and since he was never able to solve that story, he wrote his own stories. Who knew it would end up being the doctor the one guy was seeing? What an easy way to frame someone, but still, the doctor needed to see a doctor, not be one. He was pretty crazy, if you ask me.

What will Kate choose? The cliffhanger was Kate getting offered a job she never thought she'd be offered in a million years. And who else loved it that they seem to go back to those swing sets to discuss stuff? The awesome swing sets where Castle proposed. I just thought it was a cool touch.

Here Kate was thinking she was either gonna get offered the Captain job (which she aced the test, btw) or she was thinking something awful was going to happen and I had no clue how it was going to turn out. Man, when they were talking to her like they were, I was furious with them. How could you talk to Kate like that?! It was all a test, though. To see how she'd handle herself in that situation. Because they want her to run for state Senate! She'd either do that or get her own team.

So, what will she choose? I personally hope she'll choose the Captain job, but I really have no clue. I think she was happy that they even thought to offer her the job of running. She has a lot to think about and I can't wait to see how she decides.
