I have to admit, when I first heard that they were finally coming out with a 4th one, I was gonna avoid it at all costs. Mainly because they changed the cast and not to mention how the dinosaurs acted. After hearing that it was so good, I finally gave in and watched it and you know what? I'm glad I did.
Even though it was a different cast, it felt more like a reboot sort of movie then a continuation of an old thing. But seriously, will they ever learn? I mean, each time they've done something like this with the dinosaurs, something awful happens. This time, I'd say it was ten times worse.
Ok, a dinosaur didn't get into a city like it did in the second one, but it was still pretty bad. When their newly created dino (yep, they created one from different animals so in the end they had no clue what kind of animal it really was) escapes, it creates worse then havoc if there is such a thing.
I also gotta admit that I've never seen a Chris Pratt movie until now and after watching this, it totally made me want to rent Guardians of the Galaxy. I instantly liked him. The rest of the cast did really well. I was surprised at both boys they casted for their acting skills were excellent. Especially the one since I've only ever seen him in Melissa and Joey.
A little slow moving at first, but it didn't last that long. Once it got into the action it was basically none stop and there were parts I closed my eyes and that my heart was actually racing. That so doesn't happen very often in an action movie these days for me. Maybe I've just gotten too picky, but this movie fit everyone of the things I like in an action movie.
I do have to say one little spoiler thing and it's not a big one but it is probably one of my favorite moments of the whole movie. Is when the boys are trying to escape the dino and stumble onto the old Jurassic Park theme park. Seeing that brought so many scenes back to my mind that I think I better watch it again.
In the end, I am so glad I didn't avoid this movie like I had originally thought. It was a fun ride and now I have that theme song stuck in my head. So, sit back, buckle up and I hope you enjoy Jurassic World as much as I did.
