Last time we were in Storybrooke, Emma decided to save Regina from going down a dark path so that Regina could finally have her happy ending. Which means, Emma is now the Dark One. Just not at first and I was so hoping it wouldn't take over.
However, it sadly ended up doing just that. Whatever happened the minute they stepped into Camelot's castle changed everything, but no one remembers, again. Yes, again. Really? How many times does this poor town have to lose it's memory? It seems to me that the only person who does remember is Emma. Who's now completely evil and doesn't seem to mind one bit, since she can now seek out revenge.
I couldn't even begin to guess what happened to have her turn evil. It must have been something awful for that to happen. Let's just hope someone, somewhere can somehow manage to find Merlin and get the hero back. Not that it's interesting to see Emma play evil for once, but still, I'm not sure how long I can take her being evil. There's only so much evil you (well at least I) can take.
Zelena is still out for revenge, but at least Robin can spot the fake Regina this time. I do sort of feel bad for Zelena. Her not being able to have a happy ending, but if she would just realize it's all because of the choices she makes, she could change her life around and actually make it worth something. Starting over or going back to a place where you thought you'd be happy, won't change anything.
It was very interesting to see how the Dark One becomes the Dark One. They are stuck with the conscience of Rumple. Who basically plays you into becoming the Dark One whether you want to or not. Which may be the question as to why Emma ended up the way she ended up. It seemed to me with what everybody was dressed in (well, except for Mary and David, anybody else find that weird?) they were in something from that time period and they were gone a lot longer then they thought they were.
Was anybody else disappointed that Emma didn't give the sword to Hook? I was so hoping it would be Hook. I can see why she gave it to Regina, because in the end, she would totally do what was needed, but still, Hook. I love how he's transformed, from a pirate to what he is today. Someone in love and is willing to do anything to save/find/protect that.
Man, the creators of this show have done it again! Merida (from Brave, in case someone didn't remember), was amazing! Very well casted and amazing wardrobe. That reference from Brave was just as awesome. I hope that's not the last we see of her.
I wonder who that guy was that Emma saw in the flashback and what he was talking about? I first, thought he was referring to her removing the sword, but then I wonder if perhaps he was talking about something to do with the Dark One? It seemed to me that he knew what was coming. What could it be, though?
Snow White and the Seven (well, three) dwarves are back (sort of) in action! I thought it was so sweet that Leroy wanted to go with them no matter what. Just getting tired of sitting on the sidelines when everyone else got to have an adventure. Not to mention, people seem to not be forgetting that Henry is there and is actually useful. Hopefully that keeps up.
What will happen now that Emma gave into the Dark One? Will the town remember what went down in the time they were gone? Will they be able to rid Emma of the Dark One for good? Hopefully, these questions and more will be answered and soon.
