Vampire Diaries "One Way Or Another" Episode Review

Well, the title is right. Damon really did try one way or another to make everything to go back the way it was. With Stefan in Stefan and even tried to get his old friend back. One worked, the other didn't. Sometimes, even though it sucks and can be really sad, change can be a good thing.

Damon is looking all of the country for Stefan's body who he did find, but then he lost again. The Salvatore brothers never have it easy do they? Well, I guess if they did, it would make for a very boring hour episode. But after a few hiccups along the way, at least Stefan is now Stefan again.

Even though we only had him gone for 2 episodes, I really missed Stefan being Stefan. Though I gotta admit that I don't mind seeing the evil Stefan come out every once in a while. Paul really does brilliant acting in those scenes. Not that he doesn't normally, but you guys get what I mean. Plus, Stefan is my favorite, so that could be partly it too.

Speaking of Stefan, is he doomed to be alone forever? Seriously, his relationships never seem to work out. First Katherine was taken by Damon. Then Elena was taken by Damon (ok, Damon is mainly the reason why his girls get taken away, but whatever), then there was Caroline who he walked away from because he was trying to keep her safe and now Valerie. Who realized that Stefan did like her, just not the way she liked him. Stefan isn't over Caroline. I'm not a fan of Caroline and Stefan at all. They made really awesome best friends and I think it just became awkward once they started dating. But that's just my opinion. Will Caroline be able to forgive Stefan for doing what he did or will she go through with the marriage of her and Alaric? Me, I'm secretly hoping that Alaric can get her. He hasn't had the best of luck with ladies either.

Damon totally is the reason why most of the bad stuff happens on the show. Not all of it, but I'd say a good amount of it is his fault and he shoves it on other people who have to deal with it. Mainly his brother who is getting sick and tired of having to clean up his messes or be on the run for 3 years while Damon just slept away while waiting for Elena to wake up. But with that being said, I've gotta admit that even I was like "Jerk!" to Alaric when he was saying that to Damon. Like I said at the beginning, even though change can suck sometimes, it can be a good thing. Everybody else has moved on. I think it's time for Damon to do the same. But some people are easier with change then others and Damon may just be one of those people who has a hard time with it.

When I first learned that Bonnie was in the psych ward at the hospital, I was a bit disappointed. Sure, her and Damon were close, but I wouldn't think she would have gone crazy enough to get into a hospital all because of Damon. Nope, that was just a cover story to get close to someone else in there! Well done with her story! After hearing of the actress leaving Vampire Diaries at the end of season 8, I have a dreading feeling after hearing about her possible fate at the end of the episode tonight. That perhaps, they will kill Bonnie off. I hope it doesn't come to that, but I have a funny feeling it might.

Enzo and Bonnie are really cute. In a weird way, they kind of remind me of Damon and Elena. Elena changed Damon into a good man and it looks like Bonnie did the same for Enzo. He may still do not so great stuff, like kidnapping Rayna just to get answers out of her and having Damon flounder on his end on how to figure out what to do next to get Stefan's body back. But that would be totally something Damon would do for Elena. So in my opinion, Bonnie and Enzo = cute! I really hope that they can find a cure for her, but like I said, I don't know if that'll be the case or not.

What in the world is so awful that's in that vault that the friend at the hospital didn't want to be let out? I couldn't even begin to imagine what it could be. Then again, can that girl be trusted? Sure, she had some story about her family going into something dark and awful and them making their daughter/sister sound like she was insane and putting her into a hospital. But as Bonnie proved, it's easy to fake a story to get into a hospital to find out info on someone. This girl really is crazy, though. But I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree with her family.

It was so cute at the end when Damon learned what Bonnie was up to and he immediately found her. Of course, he probably wasn't expecting that welcome. Then again, he shouldn't have asked for much else. I mean, they were best friends. To be told goodbye in a letter, is just not cool and I probably would have reacted the same way.

So as of right now, everything is back to normal. Well, as normal as a show about vampires can be. What did you think of the episode? Let me know in the comments below!
