Their new case was exciting, but not really wow factor. I did however, love the character development we saw and how it seemed to focus more on that and having closure for certain characters.
Well sure, it was an exciting one, but not like I thought it was going to be. Which is good to focus on the characters themselves every once in a while. I mean, that's one of the main reasons why I come back to this show each week is because I've fallen in love with the characters.
We do see some characters we haven't seen in a while. Which is nice for a milestone episode. Doris and Catherine make a comeback. But not sure if we will see either one of them again. Doris was leaving again to finish her mission and hopefully returning, but you know her track record on that. Then there's Catherine who made it sound like we may never see her again.
Catherine surprises Steve and he's on a romantic date with Lynn. Talk about awkward! Then it's really awkward when Lynn tells Catherine that Steve was gonna pop the question to her. It was totally on accident, but in a way, why would you even say something like that? Oh well, she said it and what's done is done. I like Lynn and Steve a lot together. Not sure if Catherine and Steve could ever go back to being a thing. Catherine hurt Steve a lot and like I said, it sounded like she may not be coming back to him again.
Catherine is there, though, because she wants Steve to know that Doris got in over her head and is in a foreign prison trying to get Wo Fat's father out of jail. It goes sideways for her and now she needs help in getting out. I do like the fact that Catherine came to Steve of all people and he didn't have to find out months later about this and be mad at her for something else now.
Catherine truly seems to love what she does. I'm happy. Though she is sad that she broke Steve's heart and after hearing that they had gotten that serious, she's really sad about having to leave, but not enough to quit and stay and settle down. However, she would have said yes if he would have asked.
In the end, they get Doris out and Wo Fat's father out along with the teams help who arrived that day because they didn't want Steve to do this alone and it was a good thing they were there, too. They needed the extra people.
Now I missed the part on where Danny was, but Grace is staying at Grover's place in the mean time and Grover is setting his son on trying to figure out who Grace is dating. I am surprised that Grover hasn't figured it out that it is in fact his own son that dating Grace. I could be wrong, but all the made up answers and such could possibly lead only to one thing, that they are dating and they don't want their parents to find out.
I felt so bad for Chin in this episode. He has fought so hard to try to keep Sarah out of harms way, only for it to actually happen in the end. He loses the battle and Sarah is sent to her grandparents who may possibly be drug dealers, but they didn't have real hard evidence and the case was shot down. I'm hoping this isn't the last we see of Sarah and I'm also hoping that the next time we might see her, isn't because something awful happened to her and Chin is flying over for a funeral.
That little book Sarah drew for Chin was really sweet of all their memories they had together. Then there was Steve who was finding that box that Doris had told him about. It had a journal and some other memories in it. Very touching ending.
