"I guess we are going rogue again"
Yep, the very thing that they got in trouble for last season, they are doing again in order to stop a dirty bomb from going off.
The whole team is being punished for Pride going off the books and arresting a bad guy that took him many years to finally prove that he was actually bad. I'm so glad that they did that to the Mayor, but now because of it, Pride is getting backlash. From the place he works at and from his beloved town. Don't they realize that he did them a favor? I wish they could say to them "Hey, your Mayor was way corrupt. Even murdering people and he didn't care about this town like you thought he did". Or maybe they have and they still don't care.
I don't know if it's just me or what, but I just can't really like Tammy. She's not too bad, but she's no Brodie who I miss terribly still. But I do like the fact that Tammy and Sonja have become really close friends. I think Sonja needed a girl on the squad.
The only thing that kind of bugged me, but I still kind of think it's a little cool, is that NCIS and NCIS New Orleans now have something kind of in common. Tammy is buying an apartment that someone was killed at "Yeah, but we shot him!". That still doesn't make a difference. Sure, it's a nice place, but I don't think I could live in there knowing that someone had died. But McGee has that same thing with Tony's place. I know it shouldn't bug me that they share a storyline, but it does.
I do not like their new boss lady. It's ok if someone is "by the book", but sometimes there is too much "by the book" and she is one of those people. Sure the team needs to submit to her authority, but she's not really listening to them either. Hoping she won't last long.
Sonja still won't admit that she has feelings for Chris. I hope they stop dancing around that subject and she'll let it slip one of these days because everybody knows that they both like each other. I just hope it won't be like Tony and Ziva where we got nothing until Ziva left the show.
In the end, the team had to get Pride back even though he doesn't think he's in his right mind. Interesting turn of events for this character. He even thinks he went too far for capturing the Mayor and doesn't want to get that close to the edge again. I'm surprised they aren't having him see a therapist. Isn't that something they do when stuff like this happens? But they ended up needing the whole team and going rogue a bit in order to stop the dirty bomb from happening. Which they did. Even though it may hurt them later on from the people in charge.
Pride also isn't telling his team members that he is getting bullied by the town from arresting the Mayor. Another bad move. He can't keep these things bottled up. But that just so reminds me of Gibbs. They are both stubborn and don't want to talk about what's going on. Let's just hope something bad doesn't happen because of that.
Side Notes:
- Tammy asked Sonja to be roommates together in the new apartment! Sounds like this will be fun. Hoping to see some stuff into that.
- Love it that Sebastian is fitting in quite nicely into his new role now.
- We were introduced to the new acting Mayor. I like her. I hope she is good and actually gets to stay as the Mayor. She seems to have a good feel for what the people need and will back the team up even if she gets in trouble for it.
- Always fun to see Pride on stage playing the piano at his bar which is now open again. Hoping this place can take a break with getting destroyed and rebuilt.
- What were your thoughts on the season premiere?
