Mary Poppins Returns: What A Delight!

Ok, yes I'm way late on seeing this. I've actually tried several attempts at trying to see this earlier, but they all failed. But before I get into it too much, I will like to point out that this will contains spoilers. So don't read any farther if you are like me and waited too long to see a great movie.

Having only ever seen one commercial (I try to stay away from those, they tend to show way too much in the commercials now-a-days), I didn't really know what to expect going into it. But I throughly enjoyed it.

It's been a long time since I saw the original, so I can't totally compare them that much. However, I find that a good thing. I could enjoy it more and now I even want to watch the original more so now.

I felt the characters were pretty spot on with their acting and Emily Blunt stole every scene she was in. Of course, she's Mary Poppins, so that's totally understandable.

My absolute favorite were the special appearances at the end. Mainly meaning Dick Van Dyke. Having not known he was gonna all of the sudden show up and save the day, was the best surprise I could ask for. And let's not forget Angela Lansbury's appearance too.

All in all, it was a fun filled afternoon at the movies. Nothing like Mary Poppins to remind us that being a kid, isn't a bad thing sometimes and to turn our perspective around.

My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
